Submission Preparation Checklist
Before submitting your manuscript to Medical Times, please ensure that the following requirements are met:
Manuscript Formatting
- The manuscript is formatted in double-spaced text with 1-inch margins.
- A standard 12-point font is used throughout the manuscript.
- Pages are numbered consecutively.
Title Page
- The title page includes the manuscript title, author names, affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author.
- The title is concise, informative, and descriptive.
Abstract
- An abstract of up to 250 words is provided.
- The abstract is structured with sections for Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Keywords
- 3-7 keywords accurately describing the manuscript’s content are listed.
Introduction
- The introduction clearly outlines the purpose of the study.
- Includes a brief review of relevant literature and the research question or hypothesis.
Methods
- The study design, participant details, procedures, and statistical methods are comprehensively described.
- Methodology allows for replication.
Results
- Findings are presented in a clear, logical sequence.
- Tables and figures are used appropriately, with statistical significance and relevant data included.
Discussion
- Results are interpreted in the context of existing research.
- The discussion includes implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research.
References
- References follow AMA style with superscript numbers in the text.
- The reference list is complete, accurate, and numbered correctly.
Figures and Tables
- Figures and tables are submitted as separate files.
- Each figure and table is numbered, titled, and includes a legend.
- Figures meet a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
Ethics
- The study complies with ethical standards.
- Approval from an institutional review board or ethics committee is included where applicable.
- A conflict of interest statement and disclosure are provided.
Cover Letter
- A cover letter is included, outlining the significance of the research and its relevance to the journal.
- Potential conflicts of interest are disclosed.
- Suggestions for potential reviewers are provided if required.
Submission Confirmation
- The manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it being considered by another journal.
Reference Accuracy
- All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
Permission
- Permission has been obtained for all photos, datasets, and other materials included with the submission.
Compliance
- The submission adheres to all journal-specific guidelines and formatting requirements.
